The arsenic removal plant (ARP) is one of water purification unit developed by Beijing IWHR Corporation to specially aim to purify the water with containing high level arsenic. The plant is divided into two series, respectively, small household water purifier and Centralized water purification plant.
Application field of the Aarsenic removal plant (ARP)
1, Suitable for arsenic removal treatment for families, rural drinking water with high level arsenic contamination;
2, Suitable for centralized arsenic removal treatment for the centralized water supply with high level arsenic contamination for the middle and small towns;
3, Suitable for water supply treatment for the agriculture and forest industry water supply and industrial and mining enterprises self-owned water source;
The requirements for the inlet water quality
The inlet water from the groundwater and tap water pipe could directly enter the arsenic removal plant (ARP); Otherwise, based on the water quality of the inlet water, pre-treatment unit will be added before the ARP.
Description of process draft
The inlet water containing high level of arsenic first flows through the static mixer and mixed with the oxidant, which is oxidized in the reactors, and then flows into the arsenic filter for the arsenic removal to meet the drinking water standards.
Pre oxidation
The oxidant chemicals is added into the static mixer by metering pump, and then into the reactors. The reaction time is determined by the arsenic concentration. When the arsenic concentration is below 0.1mg/l, the reaction time is 10 minutes, and the reaction time will be extended when the arsenic concentration is over 0.1mg/l. In the reactor, the trivalent arsenic will be fully oxidized into pentavalent arsenic which is insoluble or slightly soluble into the water.
Arsenic removal by adsorption
The key and basic material is our proprietary BM water purifying arsenic removal filter media. The aluminum silicate minerals is used as raw material to manufacture BM water purification arsenic removal filter media, through crushing, screening, high temperature sintering, modified activated processes. The filter media particles diameter is 0.5-1.8mm, packing bulk specific gravity is 0.9-1.0. After the pre-oxidization of the raw water, the trivalent arsenic is oxidized into pentavalent arsenic, which converses the soluble arsenic into insoluble arsenic, and so the arsenic is removed from the water.
