Simplified elevated dam (SED) is one of the series products of low-head water retention gates. It features no electricity and relies on manpower or diesel engine to drive the gate to lift and drop. Saving the procurement and maintenance costs of transformers, cables, electric control cabinets and other related equipment, and saving a large amount of investment in civil engineering and electricity.
This is Jilin Lishu SED project, the scale of the project is 10m long and 1.5m high. Each span is 3.33m long and 1.5m high, 3 spans in total. The gate is driven to lift and drop by manually operating the drive rod in this project. This driving form is eco-friendly, which is more suitable for remote mountainous rivers where the river width is narrower (length less than 30m), the height of gate is less than 2m, and not conductive to set up transmission line.
This is a lifting demonstration process of diesel engine driven SED under water condition, with a project scale of 10×1.5m and with a single fan scaleof 3.33×1.5m. The opening and closing processes in this video have not been edited.
SED has the characteristics of simple installation and operation, safe and reliable running, convenient maintenance and strong mobility. It can be widely used in water conservancy projects such as river landscape, irrigation and storage, reservoir expansion and ecological water storage of rivers and lakes with a water blocking height of 1to 5 meters. At present, this technical product has been industrialized and promoted in multiple countries such as Northeast China, Southeast Asia and South Asia, with broad application.
