The back side of the hydraulic elevator dam is supported by two hydraulic cylinders at a small Angle, powered by the hydraulic station, and the hydraulic oil is used as the medium to make the cylinder rod of the hydraulic cylinder move, so as to realize blocking and discharging flood.
The lifting time of single gate is about 1min/m, and the lowering time can be adjusted in 30s-30min.
The hydraulic elevator dam can achieve arbitrary dam high water retention.
2. How does the dam work if sedimentation on top of its surface is more than 30 cm?
The hydraulic elevator dam is able to withstand severe mud and sand sedimentation. It was specially designed for this purpose. The hydraulic dam may be adjusted up to a vertical angle of 75 degrees. This angle is large enough to completely wash away sedimentation under normal flow conditions. If sedimentation is not completely removed, the remainder will not be significant enough to affect the lifting and the dropping of the dam.
3. What should be done if branches and stones are stuck in the dam?
There may be large quantities of floating objects, such as tree branches, plastic bags, etc., which may serve as impediments to the normal operations of the hydraulic dam. Based on the quantity and location of these floating objects, regulation of a single dam or coordination with adjacent dams may be used for tackling this problem. These floating objects will eventually drift away with the help of the water flow. If stones are stuck in between the two dam surfaces, the dam's angle may be adjusted causing stones to be released due to gravity and water flow.
4. Is it possible to lift and drop the dam at the same time?
